Ways to help

Volunteer in the U.S.

There are many ways to volunteer with Nurturing Minds to feel connected to SEGA and the students. Join (or start) a regional chapter, become a school partner by starting a SEGA club at your school. Engage your church or community group to become involved. Take part in our annual English Fluency Program to teach English at the school, or joining our Advisory board.

Volunteer in Tanzania

Volunteering at SEGA is a great way to have a positive impact on the lives of every student at the school. We offer week-long or three-month service learning opportunities for volunteers that offer capacity-building skills such as English as a Foreign Language (EFL), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and Marketing and Communications.

How you help The volunteers who donate their time are critical to our success! We provide many ways for you to feel as close as possible (even from the U.S.) to the SEGA Girls’ School and the SEGA students.
About us Nurturing Minds in Africa is a U.S.-based non-profit organization working to change our world through the education and empowerment of vulnerable girls in Tanzania. Beginning in 2008, we have built and grown the SEGA Girls School – a model educational institution that is giving bright, motivated Tanzanian girls, who otherwise are unable to attend school due to extreme poverty, a chance at success.
